does this have an additional attachment for extractor similar to the one from Costco? as that is the only difference between this from Walmart and from Costco.

I was comparing to ss401 (Best Buy $139 model). I thought Costco is the same as this, but they have their own model number C0401B or something? The only difference I can see is it is 1400 peak watt vs 1600 watt, grate disc NOT included ( BUT optional), and NO setting for spread (looks like you could pulse this manually as they are using the cup with the tamper for spreads). Thoughts?
the more you eyeball the more differences start coming up. like there are 7 modes in costco blender and this one has 6 (spread option is missing). they look very much alike, but the costco ones seem to be more powerful 1600w.

It's $40 difference. How much difference does that 200 peak watts make? The extra peak just kicks in when needed (or so that what it seems when I try to research it). That is the only real difference for me. They are both 1200 watts.

You can get the optional grate disc. I don't think I would use that. It's like for grating stuff very fine like parmesan cheese or chocolate. The reversible slice/shred disc is included, and I would use that on a regular basis.

I am thinking the spread auto setting is not something I would use much either. It seems like you could still achieve this manually by using pulse?
I already bought the one from Costco about a month ago for $119 in store and it was $129 online. used it a few times and love it. I think even if you get the extra attachment disc it will not have dedicated mode so it is basically in grate mode since that is the spool you will use. I canceled the Walmart order and keeping the costco unit.
if I would have bought this Walmart unit first I would have not bought or worried about the costco one as returning is not worth the difference of $20. now that I have costco I feel it would be hassle to repack and return. I was using Hamilton Beach $36 blender for 11 years and it stopped working which prompted me to buy a blender and I felt ninja is better value for money than vitamix as i have other ninja product (instant pot) which I really like.
long story short either of the two are good depends which one you buy first Smilie

Can anyone comment if the containers are glass? I always seem to crack plastic ones.
