nice deal. looking at reviews there seems to be some QC issues with this but for $100 it's a risk I'll take. thanks

I got one with the stand when it was on sale at amazon for 120. It works really well. Not much there that can go wrong with it.

a week or two ago. Either way this is a good price. You can get the cart/legs as an acessorie as well. But it works really well. I use lump and wood chunk mix and low/slow cook. family loves the taste. Being able to use batteries is awesome too. Can't wait to take it to cook somewhere. It exceeded my expectations. However, its not heavy duty but worth it at these prices not msrp.

Bought one last year. First one had a faulty fan controller. Second one had some minor QC issues. This thing cooks well. Mine doesn't run the fan very hard on battery power so I just plug it into my portable battery "generator". Doesn't get very hot, mine struggles to get to 400 but ymmv, I was using cheap Walmart briquets. This thing can handle 2 racks of baby back ribs, but it's tight. You will have to rotate them around to avoid hotspots. Chicken thighs were absolutely perfect. Steaks I'm not so sure it gets hot enough for a good sear. Keep a torch handy to get your crust.

With all that said would I buy again? You better believe it, perfect for the camper or tailgate!

Yeah, it is hot right next to the firebox. I have note tried high heat yet. Been cooking around 225-300.

I don't get it... you all are using this as a smoker? Given the "hopper" and the batteries and the temperature regulator, that's all I can figure out. None of that would be on a grill.
smoker=low temp, long cooks
grill=high temps, short cooks
Sounds like it is misnamed.

In 4 1. Been using my Weber to do ribs and hate having to baby sit it temperature wise. Hoping this controls the temp.

So this will fit a whole rack of ribs?

I want this so badly but that last deal for $120 with the cart was just so good. Being able to wheel this around seems helpful. I could build a table or something for it but that removes a lot of the easy portability of it. Also I just don't know about woot never ordered from them so googled it and seems they are mostly just amazons returns now and it's a mixed bag of what you might get. That and returns are way harder than Amazon. Anyone have any trouble with them before on returning something?

I haven't returned to woot since before Amazon bought them, id imagine it would not be hard but the return policy should be in the listing.

Also don't want this deal since I missed the last one with cart for just $20 more.

Edit: 90 day limited warranty https://tools.woot.com/warranty

This one is bigger and uses charcoal, can use wood chunks mixed in. It's basically a portable gravity grill.

It was actually down to around 90 bucks for some people I believe. For that price I would have bought two.

Thank you. And yeah let's hope it comes back at that $120 price.
