4090 *mind blown* that thing must hum like a MOFO. Hmm my nephew wants my gaming desktop, I just bought a gaming mobile laptop to supplement when I am not at home... Thinking I should return my mobile gaming laptop and sell my desktop to my brother at a deep discount for a xmas gift and maybe get this... Just stick to a laptop going forward.... Decisions decisions...

How is the tech support and returns policy (including restocking fee)?

I was shopping HP.com today, put a laptop in the shopping cart, had regrets, and did a web search. All the web search results were from hp.com and hpe.com. I filtered these results and found nothing. It almost seems like the marketing is turned up and the other results are drowned out.

My inclination now is to get my laptop from a local bricks-and-mortar shop. Any other opinions I should consider?

What would be a good price for i9-13700HX with a 4090 and sub 5lbs? Does that even exist?

I thought cashback exclude edu or epp? Isn't this the epp or edu price?

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

I would never buy any HP gaming product ever again especially the omen line, had so many weird random problems with the omen PC due to their shitty proprietary motherboards. Also their support is complete shit.

This, I have always known that HP was by far the most bottom of the barrel company for consumer grade laptops but I got one for CHEAP at micro center and couldn't resist. It was an omen 17 with a 3060. Was a creaky, low build quality mess, display was pretty mediocre compared to the competition. Trackpad randomly stopped working all the time, many hardware related blue screens. Sent to HP twice to repair, same issues, didn't have parts the 2nd time and took forever, still didn't fix it and they refunded my original purchase price as they had no mobos to replace mine with.

Got a legion 7 and it has been seamless with no issues

I just can't get over that it's only 300 nits brightness. Too many other options out there at the moment at this price.

15%a restocking fee is a concern for me since I have't used an HP gaming laptop before. I wish it's like other stores.

I didn't know this was an epp or edu price. I just put everything in the cart and then opened the website through the CB portal. Let's see what happens

What other options do you exactly see at this price for an RTX 4090 laptop, since there are "too many" according to you?

374 nits per one youtube reviewer. He found the display completely fine for this price point, but you be the judge if that's bright enough. I don't personally play outside much. https://youtu.be/nBy48Vfn1wM?t=4725
