I just switched from a Selkirk power air invikta to this paddle. I'm never going back! It's a blast to play with. So much power, spin, and surprising control. I can't say enough good things about this paddle especially for the price. I've played with tons of high end paddles and this is by far my favorite even though it's less than half the price of others.

How would you compare the "Dynamic Kevlar Surface" with the Toray T700 Raw Carbon Fiber surface that most paddles use?

Can anyone speak to how good of a deal this actually is?

I know Amazon sells Selkirk refurbs for half off. Would this be a better value?

I'm not finding refurbished Selkirks on Amazon. These paddles are typically $169.99, so they're more than half off. I've seen a lot of good reviews on these paddles, but haven't played with one yet (just ordered it).

So curious to see if I notice the difference spending a bit more on one that's highly reviewed.

It's listed as a "second." If you search Selkirk Epic Vanguard on Amazon you'll see it for $79.99.

I do like the deal you posted and might try this one instead.
