The sad thing is that doubling the price from there to $300 STILL doesn't get you 3440x1440 (with IPS) -- those are still sitting at $500+.
So adding just $80 to go from 1080p to 1440p is a great value.
If I'm going to just run excel spreadsheets sure it's fine. But I would struggle running games on ultra settings with a 1440p 27" monitor.

4ktv under 42 inch also works good with this use.

But I definitely can't do 60Hz anymore, even for productivity tasks; 120Hz+ smoothness is too nice.
