good machine. bought a similar deal a couple years ago now
I have one and I try to rinse out the inside unit once a month. More realistically, I clean it about once every couple months and I don't have any mold issues in there.

I'm stuck between the Amazon price and the deal at

https://home-appliances.philips/p...5303850318

Saving $100 upfront and having a bit more faith in Amazon for a known buying process is nice, but 10x twin packs of filters is quite a value. Although it would take me years to use them all. Decisions, decisions.

We bought the automatic frother version on Prime Day and really like it. It went down to $505 last week, so Amazon gave me a "one-time exception" pricematch since I paid $599. The machine itself is really easy to use and the auto-frother does a really nice job. I feel like this machine makes pretty good espressos, especially since I didn't want to invest the time into learning a more traditional espresso maker like one of the Breville machines.

I liked the latte go version of this for about a year… however when the I decided to deep clean it recently I found a ton of mold growing inside. There are a lot of nooks and crannies where moist/wet coffee grounds get stuck and unless you are actively cleaning those areas mold will grow pretty quick it seems.

Made pretty good coffee but isn't a true espresso machine, non of the fully automatics are. But if you want quick and convince and better than Starbucks this is a way to go!

I'm not sure what the Philips deal is? The machine shows $499 not $399

It comes with 20 of the aquaclean water filters. Or at least it included those yesterday. I haven't checked yet this morning. It's probably easily $200 worth of filters.

Edit: Looks like they dropped the bonus filters to 8x twin packs today. Still good, but as always, I shouldn't have waited to pull the trigger lol

Pretty good deal! I have the late go version and I'm fairly happy with it. I switched to this from a Nespresso because I wanted to stop using their wasteful pods. I think the Nespresso makes better espressos, but I'm still happy with my purchase but if you want real espresso without capsules, it's probably better to get a normal espresso machine.

You might mean the 4300 - I don't believe there is a 4800. The 4300 can make more preprogrammed drinks. The brew group and actual espresso it makes is the same though. Just more variations and choices and programmability options. Quite a bit more dough though.

That's fantastic! I cleaned it about every 3 months on the inside and could have been my fault but there is a spot on the inside towards the front of the machine behind where the pucks fall into that seemed to be the worst for me

I have a 12 years old DeLonghi 3200. Clean it every time I do the decalc. No mold. Super Auto makes a decent expresso but not as good as dedicated one.

I've had one for 3 years. It's saved me a ton of money in dollars not spent at the local coffee shop. It never really made great espressos, but it was good enough when considering the money saved. Recently the coffee has gotten watery. I cleaned the brew group as thoroughly as I could without a full disassembly, and it helped somewhat. But I think to fully restore it would require a factory service.

I also found mold in the unit when I cleaned. It was outside of brew group, in areas surrounding it that are very difficult to clean.

I'm thinking I will hold onto it for another year, and after that return to a manual unit.

I just got the lattego version of this a few days ago. It is replacing an old Saeco x-small. So far I like the x-small taste better, but realistically I think we just enjoyed the added Mold flavor from the old machine.
