You will need to lock in this price first week of January. I talked to Taxact and they said their prices will get higher so to keep this price you need to pay for it to lock it in and they suggested the first week in January. They said the IRS will lock in the form and that's when you can pay for it.

I have clicked on this offer from my email several times, but the 50% does not reflect on the return that is created by clicking on it.
Anyone else having this issue?

I think I was able to do it. I followed the instructions while being logged in into my account. That started the return, just a couple of steps like transfer last year's info, etc. Then stopped the return, went to the main account screen and clicked on something like "upgrade" on the left-hand side of the main account screen (can't exactly remember now) and it showed me my current plat/option at $17.xx and showed other options I could upgrade to, so I am assuming the offer worked, I just backed out of that upgrade screen and logged off for now. Hope this helps.
I usually lock in a worst-case scenario price with these advance links, in my case the all-inclusive for $114.99 which includes federal (including Schedule C, crypto, etc.) + one state, as well as a few other bonuses, (so-called) audit defense, "conceierge support", etc.. Then typically come January AMEX announces a 20-30% off credit, so I pay for it at the time of filing using that card, which brings the final cost down to $80-90.
Of course there's no guarantee that AMEX will offer this deal come 2024, but they have the last 2 years.

Thanks for that, I see my return is also reflected right when clicking on "Upgrade Options" all the way bottom on left menu. Took screenshot just to be on safer size.
But the price of return on returns list still shows full.

Where exactly do you find the "Upgrade Options"? I looked all over the left-side menu options with no luck. I use the self-employed version so that might be my issue. Which version do you use?

THIS RIGHT HERE!
I had them one year say the discount price wasn't showing and I had a screenshot showing my discount price and they adjusted. But they can be huge sticklers on the price so have proof that you logged in to get the discount!
I'm pretty happy with this. Taxact is ok - nothing amazing, but definitely cheaper than Turbotax or paying an accountant, and easier than doing it by hand. Weirdly enough, every year I end up paying less. The first years (2020, 2021) I wasn't aware of these early discounts and paid $50-60 for the Premier (+ state tax). Last year I paid $26 because of the Fidelity discount. This year it will be $17.50. I'm happy!

By going to upgrade options like you, it said I am currently on premier at $17.xx which is what I wanted. However, going back to the My Account, it shows this return is at $34.99. What about you?
