Quote from WittyOctopus9593 Put the inactive RP sim card in the sim card slot. Power up your phone, connect to wifi. Wait for the phone to activate. Then you can go through the usual phone setup and confirm that the phone is sim locked under general -> about. Next go to att.com/deviceunlock. Start device unlock. Do you have att phone number? No. Type in your phone's IMEI (do NOT put IMEI 2, this is esim) then fill out your info on next page and submit. You will receive one email from at&t right away to confirm your request. Click to confirm and the second email should come soon with confirming the device is now unlocked. At this point, take out RP sim card and put a sim card for T-Mobile or Verizon (or any of their MVNOs) in the phone. Restart the device and it is now unlocked.

Either way I bought 3 you just need to make sure to ask a manager or they will push you out of there Ellington you they don't have keys to ATnT stock which is BS.
That stock belongs to target they should be able to sell you the unlocked phone just make sure to ask for a manager.

ATT rep said no iPhone 12s, but have iPhone 14s for $5 for 36 months. But can pay the phone off on the spot for $180. Then sign up for AARP (any age actually) and can get no activation and discount on first month. Then just cancel after first month and done as you paid the phone off. He was certain of this.
Went though with paperwork, ID, etc. But when I looked at paperwork it didn't really say anything about anything. So I had him triple check it. He called someone and was told NO - you have to stay with ATT for 36 months.
What was I thinking? The last time I tried a major carrier - Sprint - it was a disaster.
Now, the clueless dude in the black shirt did point to a bunch of Androids in the case - and said no more iPhones left. So there may have been some iPhones destined for the prepaid market - but are out of stock.
Well, I have an iPhone 12 for Total coming from Walfart anyway. I wanted another one for my second (Asia) phone as my second phone's battery doesn't last very long. Have to wait.
Me that these are region locked and will
Only work with US mobile
Networks and can't be unlocked for international SIM cards . Anyone has an idea ? Can they be region unlocked ?
