Class action lawsuit against BumbleBee filed this year regarding "deceptive practices" and lying about its products being sustainably sourced. For me I will pay a little more to buy from companies that are reputable. Its also listed as a "do not buy" on some healthy food sites.
Maybe in your state. In my state, it is a great deal, especially for albacore, which I prefer to the mushy cat-food grade crap that the "chunk-light" cans have. By the way, even our cat won't eat the cheap stuff.

Apart from your very vague opinions, you don't back them with any facts or data, so I shall ignore them.
Great price, thanks! For those who prefer less salt, the low sodium version (12 pack) has a coupon for $4.80, bringing the price to $14.99 after 15% S&S.

ha the 48 pack is still sitting in my "not yet shipped" for an entire year now

(they were $18 for 48x 5 ounce)

I've never eaten albacore before until recently and wow that is some very heavy meat compared to "chunk light" tuna

Yeah, it's hard to eat as a solid, but I take a fork and mash it into fine shredded pieces, then mix it with either Miracle Whip or Honey Mustard, and put it on rye or into a salad.

Local grocer had tuna 5 for $5 for literally all year. Never has been cheaper.

chunk is mostly the leftovers and slime — solid is the better quality.

You don't want albacore. And tuna for $1/can is not special. Bumble Bee isn't better than store brands.
