Class action lawsuit against BumbleBee filed this year regarding "deceptive practices" and lying about its products being sustainably sourced. For me I will pay a little more to buy from companies that are reputable. Its also listed as a "do not buy" on some healthy food sites.

Maybe in your state. In my state, it is a great deal, especially for albacore, which I prefer to the mushy cat-food grade crap that the "chunk-light" cans have. By the way, even our cat won't eat the cheap stuff.

Surprise, none of it is sustainably fished lmfao. It's all a marketing lie. Ships with poles can catch more than nets (look up the vids). And with China dragging the oceans in every part of the world to feed their starving population (they fish it and sell it to you for that sweet casshhhh to import other food), tuna populations (and of course many other species) are near complete collapse and will not recover. Get your tuna while you can.

You never see solid albacore at this price! You can knit pick various brands and sodium content all you want. This is great tasting tuna at a great price. I can already taste the tuna melts!

Exactly right. There is really no such thing as "sustainable" seafood that is wild caught. You are hunting something in the ocean and nobody truly knows how much of it there really is down there. All of the estimates are just educated guesses. It will never be extinct because fishing fleets simply won't be able to afford to go out and hunt when supplies get that low. Nobody could afford to buy it at that point. Humans think they have ultimate control over the earth, just part of our hubris. The ocean is huge and the earth always wins. Tuna may become economically extinct, but they will live on.

Sounds like he works for Wild Planet lol. If you spend that much on tuna, you'd likely starve to death from running our of money before you suffered from mercury poisoning from eating normal tuna.
