Is this comparable with the $50 Gourmia Espresso maker available in Walmart ?
Depends on what espresso means to u. If it is anywhere close to store experience - this will the farthest opposite end to it.

Happened to witness gourmia at a friends recently - at best I can describe the latte it produced as badly done drip coffee with warn milk and a bit of froth. Porta filter is lighter than the spoon you will use to stir the sugar with. Leaves a messy puck behind.

The only thing it was good at - looks. It would look good kept powered down on ur counter top for $50

I would rather recommend buying an aero press or anything else, even Mr coffee

Breville is a good espresso machine and it is not a fair comparison to the gourmia.

Probably not and here's why. That Gourmia machine that I bought as well for $50 doesn't include a grinder. This machine includes one made for espresso.

For those interested in cheap espresso machines know that the grinding is important (or so I've read). When looking at grinders (flat or conical burr) of quality, you're going to pay $150+ even on sale. Not to say you can't get by with one cheaper but most aficionados will scoff at the cheaper machines because they are typically made for ground coffee. Not espresso. So reality is that this machine includes what i presume is a quality grinder from Breville in addition to the espre sso machine/frother. The gourmia ends up coming out to $200-250+ depending on grinder of choice that's made for espresso.

I'm not an expert, just have done a lot of research and pricing over the last two weeks. I hedged myself for the gift and both the gourmia with a cheaper grinder in addition to delonghi deal so it will be choice with return of the other.

It is sad to be stuck in this stereotypical thinking. My Breville from 2019 still works like new, and it was made in China. It is all about quality control regardless of the manufacturing country.
So true, I wish we can get Tesla made in China. They have superb quality control vs the one made in Fremont.

How much better will this make my coffee? Been using the nespresso mini for a few years and my coffee is decent.
