I say this every time - the ratchet is a time saving tool. You'd use it like a regular ratchet (break it loose by hand) then use the motor to spin it off the rest of the way). My dad and I are very happy with even the non-fuel version. I have both and honestly haven't used the fuel model yet because this is good enough (and always more accessible).

I'm also happy with the screwdriver. Good for light duty work - small screws and furniture for example.

I'd be happy with this buy if I didn't have these tools already- just understand the limitations of what you're buying. The ratchet isn't a wrench and the screwdriver isn't an impact.

edit: considering how easy it is return at home depot, I would recommend giving these a shot at the very least

Got the driver in a different kit like this. Never thought I would use it. Just sat in my tool box for months. Found a side job fixing televisions and now it's my favorite tool.

I say this every time - the ratchet is a time saving tool. You'd use it like a regular ratchet (break it loose by hand) then use the motor to spin it off the rest of the way). My dad and I are very happy with even the non-fuel version. I have both and honestly haven't used the fuel model yet because this is good enough (and always more accessible).

Purchased. Every year i regret not picking this up. Dont have need for extra screwdriver but have wanted to get the ratchet for awhile. Constantly throughout the year i look at getting Chinese knockoff one off amazon and read reviews of their reliability and decide against. So finally got this for the ratchet alone.

Very good advice. People seem to forget that raw power is not always warranted. Sometimes an impact is just 100% the wrong tool for driving a screw. I almost bought this screwdriver on the in store special with 2 batts/charger/bag for $59, then I realized I already have the installation drill/driver which has the hex collet and makes this somewhat redundant for me personally.

I have the installation driver (actually my first milwaukee tool that started the addiction), which is still my favorite tool and I still bought this screwdriver. Each one has their purpose (or excuse for buying). I really wanted the fuel screwdriver but it's just waaaay to expensive for what it is.

It's not about longevity only or primarily. It is about having more torque and battery efficiency. The difference is significant.

This is not completely true. There are 3 versions of this ratchet (1 regular and 2 fuel). The gen 2 fuel has a much smaller head and is actually smaller than this ratchet.

Thank you, missed this on Fri and was kicking myself yesterday when I was in store. I want that ratchet, lol. Almost bought the BF $200 set yesterday that has another driver and oscillating saw and another battery just to rationalize getting the ratchet, haha. Thanks again, repped

I have both these tools, thought I'd use the ratchet more but the screwdriver has been indispensable and use it near everyday.

I work in facilities maintenance and I have a couple of these powered screwdrivers in different buildings and I like them and use them often. I also have the M12 ratchets in different drive sizes but I always get the extended versions. These shorter ones would work for most of my work I'm sure. I go for DeWalt for my bigger power tools (except for my plumbing press) but I like the Milwaukee M12 stuff for smaller things.

I'm an electrician and use fuels and non fuel tools all day and I don't really notice a difference. I have had just as many fuels die for various reasons. Just throw it in the gutter and go and buy another.
