I have a Lenovo legion with a 4090. I believe when I bought it earlier this year I read that the mobile 4090 is the equivalent to a desktop 3090 performance wise.

Not bad in a mobile platform but I can see why it would be misleading for consumers. I even think the mobile 4090 is based off the desktop 4080 to make it more misleading

Absolutely. RAM and storage, both are upgradeable.

Can you add RAM to this thing, or is it soldered?

No, it is a 4090 mobile which is nowhere near as powerful as a desktop 4090. A 4080 is more powerful than a 4090 mobile.

Dont forget that there is 15% CB on a certain website.. and Dell + Amex will give you back another 120.
My order total
$2,249.99 + tax $185.63 - $337 -15% amex $120 = $1987

Keep track of your shopping trips on CB website and Amex and that is one fine price!

It's implied that it's not as powerful as the desktop version. A desktop 4090 is as big as the entire laptop with a TDP of like 3 laptops
