Either way, the LS11000 is an AWESOME beast of a projector! I've had mine a bit over a year in a light-controlled home theater beaming at a 110" Elite Screens Cinegray 5D screen and I can clearly see the image with the house lights fully up using this behemoth haha. Not only is the image quality amazing, the whole projector puts out far less heat than the last few bulb-based ones I've owned and starts up and shuts down in seconds vs. minutes on traditional PJs. If you can spare the cash, this guy is an awesome machine!

I get it, that's not chump change and the Epson is brighter and has more "features. But the color, contrast, black levels, processing of the Sony is noticeably better and that should be the primary criteria in choosing a projector …assuming the throw distance works for you.
