I don't know if it's bad luck, but these batteries always seem to burst after a while in things or just sitting around. I've had better luck with home depo hdx.

I've had good luck with the Rayovac, much better than Duracell, which I will never use again.

The only way to prevent leaks it seems is to go with rechargeable batteries.

Looks like the math is better in the Lowe's deal. Check that thread. Seems to be split between folks who love these batteries and folks who had expensive gear ruined.
I've never been in a Duracell, Energerizer, Amazon Basics, Kirkland, HDX, Ray-O-Vac or Harbor Freight alkaline battery thread where there wasn't Someone complaining about them leaking.

Inflation must be pretty bad because these packs were available at HD last year for a fraction of this price. Based upon actual usage I would avoid these batteries as an inordinate percentage of them tend to leak acid. You don't want to leave a set of these batteries in a device that could be ruined by them.

Do not recommend. They leak. Even unused ones sitting in the package will leak.

Are Rayovac Batteries any good? The last time I bought Rayovacs several years ago they did not last.
Same thing. Unless quality changed in last 5 years, these have always been low quality batteries for me. I normally get AC Delco the last few years. They're cheap and have been consistent performers for me.

I have never tried the high energy model these, but I have a few boxes of the Rayovacs AA and AAA in this same container of 36 that I bought not too long ago and they leak OFTEN and randomly in devices and even in the container brand new and never used!! Stored perfectly in a cool environment always and these are JUNK! Wish I never bought.
I have had both energizer and Duracell both leak, but I've never had these or AC-Delco leak. Other people have said the opposite, Must be just luck of the draw.

Any price over 25 cents per battery isn't that great of a deal in my opinion. The Lowes deal is better.

I was a fan of Rayovac until I brought a big batch and half of them leaked, even way before expiration date and never used. I will move on to other brand. HDX from Homedepot are not bad.

I opened this thread just to warn everyone that these batteries leak, but it looks like everyone else has already said the same thing. I bought two 36 (i think) packs and after 1 year there were maybe 4 batteries out of both unopened packages that were not leaking and crusted up. i contacted rayovac multiple times thru their customer service, since they say something like the batteries are warranted for 10 years, and got zero response. DO NOT BUY!!!

sheesh - if i haven't bought these a few times from Home Depot on previous Black Fridays, i would have believed you guys - so many complain here Rayovac leak.

Never happened to me for unused ones. Sometimes alkalines leak in abandoned electronics but i have not noticed relation to a brand

The Lowes deal is better, but for me to get them they are charging $79 to ship them. None available locally.
