Good deal, comes with a 2.5 mh battery, better than having to hack then return the overpriced battery.

Impact driver is also a good deal

For anyone wanting to look at the hack price - it's $98 for the impact and $51 for the battery.

Like OP said, $129 for the impact and HO battery is a better deal, but I have more batteries than I know what to do with. I have the m12 fuel (current snd prior gen) and the m18 surge and I'm still trying to justify buying this. I have a problem.

I posted the wrong url and corrected. I was interested in the sander, but the impact was a good deal too.

I really like the surge impact. It's not powerful enough for everything, but is for most. I think this is a good buy with the 2.5 HO battery. The HO batteries are definitely better than the standard type. Thumbs up!

I got this a few months ago when hd had the kit with the HO battery on clearance for $99. This is one of those tools you wonder how you lived without it once you have it. Gets in the corners where the orbital sander can't reach and has tons of power. The included mesh pads also are very nice and last a long time ime.

looking forward to using this. i have an old house and recently had all of my doors dipped and stripped. i have the multi tool and round oscillating sander already but this will help with the fine detail work. i needed a new battery as well, the 1.5 stock batteries are on their last legs.

This thing likes to eat batteries. I usually put the 4ah or 6ah in it unless I'm just using it for quick jobs

Tempting. How do you do the hack when Pick Up is not available as an option? Do you get them delivered, then just return the battery to the store? TIA

Yep! Never had an issue doing it that way. I've done home delivery, ship to store, and regular pickup without issues.

I may end up in for the M12 Surge impact with the 2.5 HO battery @ $129.. I've got plenty of M12 batteries, but would like to gradually replace my compact 2.0s with these newer 2.5s. Sometimes that means selling off some old (but still good) stuff to make way.

For a sander, not surprising. I'd probably hold out for an M18 orbital or similar.. but that'll be even more w/ battery.

Love this thing. Way better than multitool with attachments. Better finish and lots of control with the variable speeds. Used a bunch during trim work and adding quick chamfers and roundovers to off cuts. Found the mesh pads to last quite a bit too.

Good for sanding a stained front door before refinishing? It has lots of rounded edges and inset glass.

If you already have the oscillator you already have somewhat of a detail sander. Yes this does a better job but unless you're a carpenter or paint professionally you don't really need it IMO. Also I think it uses proprietary pads which is kinda lame if true.

Mine just got delivered yesterday. I haven't used it yet. What are some good sanding accessories and what kind of sanding sheets are you using? Thanks
