Can I order now and activate after 3 months? I want to use up my 3 months of prepaid Boost plan first.
If its a physical sim, you have 45 days from date of order to activate. Esim are mostly activated instantly.

If your device uses GSMA (Att) antennas, redpocket just had a special for 5gb a month for $120. If you have GSMT (T-MOBILE) you get the same but 4G LTE (not 5G).
do you have the link?

The website states "Unlimited Talk & Text in Mexico and Canada*" Then "*Not compatible with eSIM only devices (example: iPhone 14)". I wonder why a physical sim would allow unlimited talk and text in Canada and Mexico, but not an eSIM?

Also, is calling and texting to those two countries free or does the Monthly $1.50 INTL Call Credit apply to them as well? Doesn't make sense that you can call / text from them unlimited but not to them unlimited.

Seeing some terrible reviews on trustpilot.com/review/ultramobile.com [trustpilot.com]
I've been using them for backup internet in an LTE modem because of my IoT devices in my house, and I've never had an issue with them. Their website is a lot easier to use than T-Mobile's website, which I use as my primary carrier for my cell phone.

What happens after a year? Rate doubles?
I feel bad for people without Google Voice. I use sim cards like others use rental cars.

I find that these terrible reviews are logged by people who don't know how to troubleshoot their tech. I've tried all of these MVNOs and have no trouble when there are issues. I only call when there are porting issues where my last resort is calling someone. This is IMHO.

Yep, you are right.
One should ALWAYS assume the rate doubles afterwards. It's called a loss-leader.

Yep. Just call support to determine expiration of activation date if it's not printed on the card. You can holler if it doesn't work.

Is porting out difficult like Mint where they made you call for account number and pin?
Always assume you'll need to call to get confirm the account number and port out pin. Companies are becoming more anti-consumer and making you call in to get a port transfer pin that expires after a certain date. T-Mobile used to be da bomb but they're acting like the other duopolies. This is why MVNO is the way to go now.

Great option if one uses an Android phone and doesn't mind dealing with minor issues here and there with the setup. I'm an iPhone user and need those blue bubbles! Haha

Google voice works with iPhones just the same. You can always use your carrier number for any of your weird friends who would judge you for green bubbles, but then you'll have to explain to them why your cell phone number keeps changing whenever you swap sims.

Of course GV works with iPhones. Not worried about being judged. iMessage works better in group chats and media isn't overly compressed as in android. and people will think I'm mental for changing numbers every 3 months. Haha. I just wish EVERYONE would use WhatsApp. Rest of the world does.

before I pull the trigger, I just want to confirm that you get 3gb per month ?
I have a family member interested in cheap service for his teen.
12 months at $120 is enough if they stay on wifi and if it's 3gb per month.

If your friend wants a cheaper option with unlimited calling and text without data… I use textnow for my sons phone (12yr old). $1 sim and phone number and free service month over month.

What do you mean they stay on wifi? Must be a really good teen if they are out n about and think 3gb is enough. Does their school have Wi-Fi on campus, do they get hotspot thru ISP, do they stay at home a lot?

I wfh and barely use my phone data but the second I go out of town or out n about the data usage gets outta hand.
