I've not sure which one you are referring to but we bought a Calphalon set for our daughter that's comparable to this one soon after we bought our Cuisinart set and she uses it one a regular basis and seems to be happy with it.

The caphalon set is their non-stick set with the black coating. (Its the set I currently have snd have bern using for 10 years) but I've never had a stainless steel set, so don't really know if they are comparable

I have a similar set I got about 12yr ago at Costco. I hand wash the pans but they are all in excellent shape.

My parents have a set they throw in the dishwasher (All Clad but this applies to any clad pans with a soft metal core) the exposed aluminum etches away due to the high pH dishwashing detergent leaving two sharp stainless steel edges. Can take a file and knock them down but it's a losing battle if you dishwash pans.

Considering my alternative is cast iron or carbon steel (got rid of all nonstick in the house) hand washing is a given on pans for me. But that could be a dealbreaker for some.

Is the 8' and 10' one the exact one that you could buy on amazon that is 20 dollars for the 8' one and 40 dollars for the 10' one?
