How much longer can cell phone companies continue to grift the whole idea that 64GB-128GB of additional storage should cost an additional $100 to $150? (stares at Apple)
EVO Plus & EVO Select are the same.. EVO Select is when sold at Amazon & EVO Plus when sold at other retailers like Best Buy. Pro Plus is different and is better, with faster read speed.

FYI Had one of these in my Switch, corrupted 3 times in 1 week, exchanged on Amazon and second one did the same thing. Had to go with Sandisk and haven't had problems since. So maybe Switch isn't the best application for this model.
Yup, I just bought a 256GB (w/ reader) 3 months ago for $22. That was a PRO model however - for my general use, I'd be fine with this for nearly the same price.

Forever, it would seem. Same goes for an additional 8gb of ram in a computer costing $200.

Like USB C as a charging standard, maybe the EU needs to force them. US consumer protection is weak with many in congress getting donations by the same companies grifting their constituents. You can look them up here.

Internal storage for smartphones are different. They are internal SSD that can write at 200+ MB/s compare to SD cards that can write up to 95 MB/s. I do agree that minimum storage for smartphones should be 256 gig now. 128 gig doesnt cut it anymore.

If you bought through Amazon there is a chance you got a fake SD card. Amazon is known to mix all stock for an item from all sellers and ship any of the ones they have, that means even if you buy from the Samsung store via Amazon, you may get stock sent from another seller that may be fake. I had a friend also had their Samsung SD card corrupted who bought at Amazon, meanwhile I have bought several directly via Samsung.com and they are all working fine. Some were bought over 4 years ago. Personally I no longer buy easy to fake items via Amazon, even if I have to pay a bit extra in another store
