How does this card compare to the EVO Plus that was on sale yesterday for the same price?

Internal storage for smartphones are different. They are internal SSD that can write at 200+ MB/s compare to SD cards that can write up to 95 MB/s. I do agree that minimum storage for smartphones should be 256 gig now. 128 gig doesnt cut it anymore.
That's still no excuse for not including a microSD expansion slot. Removing that is simply anti-consumer.

If you bought through Amazon there is a chance you got a fake SD card. Amazon is known to mix all stock for an item from all sellers and ship any of the ones they have, that means even if you buy from the Samsung store via Amazon, you may get stock sent from another seller that may be fake. I had a friend also had their Samsung SD card corrupted who bought at Amazon, meanwhile I have bought several directly via Samsung.com and they are all working fine. Some were bought over 4 years ago. Personally I no longer buy easy to fake items via Amazon, even if I have to pay a bit extra in another store

EVO Plus & EVO Select are the same.. EVO Select is when sold at Amazon & EVO Plus when sold at other retailers like Best Buy. Pro Plus is different and is better, with faster read speed.

That's the american way, capitalism > it's people. You have to start voting with your wallet the only vote that counts in this country where the politicians are owned by the large corporations. When I upgraded last year, I had to get a galaxy S20 just to have the last flagship with expandable storage. Next time I upgrade, it will probably be to a Motorola Moto 5G (I think they are), if enough people move, Samsung hopefully will be forced to offer expandable storage in their galaxies once again. For Apple, I'm not sure why people even get those, other than when polling friends, the only answers I've ever gotten is because everybody else has one or I already have too many device in the Apple ecosystem.

How much longer can cell phone companies continue to grift the whole idea that 64GB-128GB of additional storage should cost an additional $100 to $150? (stares at Apple)
Google isn't any better
There should be a class action suit
We all know there is massive collusion going on and that they all conspired to stop to including removable storage.
I am surprised a company like San Disk/WD hasn't filed one yet

Same card, just rebranded is all. It's better in the fact you can get this one sooner. Otherwise, they are the exact same specs.

Except for the faster speed (which I think you can only get with their reader), is the Samsung Pro Plus more durable if used as a secondary storage drive in laptop? Price difference is about $6. Both seem to be at lowest prices so far.

If you buy from samsung it's a few cents cheaper because the first 2 of these in your cart is considered a 2-pack and gets a small discount -- $24.24 each. If you try to add the 2-pack directly it won't work. Add the single package and select 2 as the quantity.

FYI Had one of these in my Switch, corrupted 3 times in 1 week, exchanged on Amazon and second one did the same thing. Had to go with Sandisk and haven't had problems since. So maybe Switch isn't the best application for this model.
