Foil razor gives you a closer shave, while the other one gives you more flexibility to move around the face

When it comes to electric shavers I think it's horses for courses and personal preference.

Generally I personally feel that foil shavers are better for general beard and face applications while rotaries are better for head and some other contoured body locations where a straighter longer edge would not work so well.

I think it is. All three Remington shaver/trimmers are priced at $30. Two have much higher original price than the other one. But I have never used a Remington shaver.

Is either type better for preventing ingrown hairs? I have tried 2 shavers and 2 trimmers after my old shaver died and they have all given me a face full of ingrown hair bumps.

I'd recommend a Panasonic with shave cream, not a foam. Condition your skin with warm water before hand. It can take up to 30 days for your skin to adapt.

Agreed, after shower is a good time. Also try some more natural products instead of chemical ones that make your skin burn and moisturize really well afterwards.
