This is great until you notice the spout is plastic. You can smell it burning the plastic when pouring which is not safe at all.. I tossed it and bought an all-glass one. Much better

also the seam between glass and plastic will always accumulate hard water crystals and eventually cause leak

Chefman stuff is hit or miss. I've gotten some real crap from them but also stuff that's worked for years.

Exactly. For example you can get an 1100W one with actual borosilicate glass for just a few bucks more.

That's a better size too.


I have the one in OP but in 1.8L version. It lasted for about 2.5 years and just died this week. I assume its a faulty switch.

Not familiar with this model, but we have an older version of the Chefman unit below and it's been great for a few years. Ours has a different display, but otherwise looks the same. Also, my Chefman dehydrator from a previous SD has been great as well.
