The pour spout trim, opening area and lid interior is plastic. Good price though for occasional use but for everyday I think stainless steel is a better choice.

I bought this last 🎄 on sale and it's been my favorite 🎁 to myself!! I use it about 3X a week and it's super fast to make boiling 💦 for pour over ☕ or 🍵. Best $15 self-gift I've ever bought! Easier than microwave. It has auto shut off so I can flip it on and go do other stuff while it heats up and flips off.
Hamilton Beach 1.7 liter is my favorite. I like the glass ones so I can watch the water boil and the Hamilton Beach has blue lights at the bottom and looks cool. The glass Chefman is good also but smaller 1.2 liter. You'll be happy with it especially if you've never had an electric kettle before. It becomes essential. I bought it for tea but use it for cooking everything.

Thank you for the recommendations, I gave you rep.
I have the 1.2L and it's perfect for my needs: boiling half filled is more than enough for coffee, tea, pasta, oatmeal, etc. No issue with spout, never spills. Remember to clean the scum guard regularly.
yup,,I was gonna buy this, but its plastic which is not good to be boiling water in,,,they should not allow plastic kettles at all...instead I got a stainless steel one for 25 at Walmart
I bought this last summer for the same deal to replace some other Chinese no brand from Amazon deal. This glass is much thicker and overall looks a quality item better than my previous Chinese one with noticeably thinner glass that easily broke. This one survived one fall but with tiny scratch Crack but usable. On these, cleaning the bottom tea stains is much easier with metal scrubber than on my previous kettle I mentioned. Also it boils water in seconds much faster than the other. I will be buying again cheman
