Microsoft has no new mid-gen refresh console to pivot to, so there is no need for heavy discount on current model.
I know ppl on here don't like to hear it but Sony is liquidating the older stock. Not because PS5's aren't desirable (outselling Xbox 2:1), but because they have a newer model that will streamline their manufacturing process that lowers their costs.
So if they keep old PS5's the same price why would any consumer buy it when there is a newer slim model for the same price? Hence the $350 deal and others that have popped up in the past few months.

I hear you.
$350 PS5 was a screaming (and an example of true/rare actual BF) deal especially 3 years later from launch date AND no other retailers have come close to that. The 2nd cheapest phat PS5 I have seen so far this year, speaking for myself that is, is $429 from the military sites. Now it just $449.99. That's a $100 difference!
