I was just reading the comparison between the two is not so cut and dry. LG makes the oled panels for sony and each system has their own pros cons.
Anyways, I have an lg oled 65 and im not sure how it can look any better lol
Trust me, it's night and day better. Just head over to your local Best Buy. They are side by side. The panel is exactly the same. They use the same panel. The difference is Sony's processor which enhances the picture at least 10x better than LG, Sony has been making chips for years. As a result, Bravias are generally about 50% more expensive than the comparable LG, and for good reason. But, this LG 65" at 2000 isn't a deal. I can get a much better Bravia for cheaper.
Don't believe the quality? just got to Best Buy and see the magic for your self. I have a 2017 LG OLED in my bedroom, and a Bravia in my living room built-in media center

Going by how it looks in store isn't a great comparison TBH. Firstly they usually pump up the vividness to make it 'pop' but that's not how most people really want them setup at home. Secondly at the store they have bright white flood lights in a huge open space, nothing like what people have at home.
And all of this depends which tv you're talking about. The A95L/A95K does seem to have slightly better picture than the G3, but I wouldn't say 'night and day' or that 'everyone knows Bravia OLEDs are better than LGs'. But these units are using a QD-OLED panel and the tech appears to be showing signs of much faster burn in image retention, which isn't great. Personally I'd rather have a 95% as good image but much longer lifespan. That being said QD-OLED is still very new (and WOLED is still pretty new as well), and software updated could adjust things for both technologies and both manufacturers.
The A90J isn't as bright as the G3 and is a few years old, but that one is WOLED. Here I'd personally rather take the G3 as well.

Sony has been making Chips for years. Their TV by default will be better. It's not the display that's doing the magic. It's the chip.night and day is obvious with upscaled content.
Bravia is indeed better than LG. I own both.i like my picture to POP with vivid colors just like in store. Brightness 100%

Maybe that's the difference, I don't actually care at all about the upscaler on the tv. I use the upscaler and apps on my Shield TV and don't even connect my tv to the internet.

Heh to each their own. I don't want LG or Sony sending me ads on my expensive TV and tracking who knows what. When I replaced my TV I simply plugged the Shield into it and everything was ready to go, all apps signed in and ready to go.
If I could buy a non-smart TV with a picture as good, I would.

Just a few weeks ago the BETTER Bravia OLED 65" was on sale for $1300.
Everyone knows Bravia OLEDs are better than LGs. So how a LG 65" is selling for $2000 is beyond me.

It should be obvious.
