There are more restrictions with this card. The 3% on every PayPal purchase and 2% on everything else is easy and rewarding without restriction.
I am confused why this deal was posted now without the $200 sign up bonus. Can't say it's a deal since it's always available. When I signed up about a year ago I got the sign up bonus. I will also note that with paying for daycare, family expenses, and every day purchases, my cash back for 2023 was over $1800. This includes the sign up bonus. Great card.

The PayPal card is 3% at any merchant where you can use PayPal, not just eBay. It also gives 2% minimum on everything else. The only scenario where the BofA card is better is is someone does a lot of online shopping at stores that don't take PayPal, which isn't common.

You can use the PayPal app Deals tab to shop those merchants and also potentially get additional cashback. Sometimes it's better than other cashback sites, sometime it's not.
It works fantastic and the 2/3% is great value too.
