If you want an x-box style controller for your PC, go ahead and buy one. But this is at least as high quality as a first-party X-box controller.
And it is for PC and Switch and some others - not an X-Box - so it's definitely going to be a better option for many than an X-box controller.
EDIT: According to this site, an external dongle would be needed to connect to the switch. So yeah, I'd say the 8bit-do would be a better option for those of us who want the same controllers on multiple systems.
