SALES ARE SUPER RARE ON MINECRAFT. There is so much value into this game now.
I played this before I had kids. I love it. I now have 3 children and I have gotten all 3 of them their own copies of the game so we can all play together. Absolutely worth it. I would recommend doing this deal.

I think Java version has tons of FREE mods. Whereas Bedrock has free stuff but not as much due to the origin (u must buy the goodies now). When Java was created, the creator had a piracy is ok mentality and encouraged it in a sense and said if u couldn't afford it now, steal it and when u get older and have money pay for it later. His principles contributed to its success for which, of course, became a hypocrisy when he became a sellout and sold to Microsoft after his anti-corporate rants how they don't understand consumers. For $2.5 billion dollars, I don't blame him.

Edit: Looks like I should automatically have Bedrock because they combined it a while back: https://help.minecraft.
Happened last year? I guess I missed that, maybe because I never use the official launcher. I know when Bedrock was first released Java Edition owners got it for free, but I bought my licenses well after that when it was no longer the case, but looks like they came back around to that. I'll have to confirm later.

Would you recommend this over playing on the Ipad? Deciding between this, the iOS, Switch, or education versions (having parental controls is a priority). There's too many different iterations that's making me confused haha
