While not nearly as awesome as the Xbox+3500 coins for $15 deal at Amazon, Target is running a sale on the Minecraft Bedrock and Java combo edition. I also got the 5% Redcard discount and no tax.

All in, it was $24.22 for me with instant email delivery.

Note this includes both Bedrock which ONLY works on Windows 10/11, AND the Java edition, which DOES work on Mac, Linux, and Windows 7/8/10/11.

In case anyone is wondering, the Java edition is the original, and the best, and the one that has basically a million mods that support it. Bedrock edition is the modern rewrite that Microsoft did once they bought the game. It's fine, and it's designed to run on basically all platforms, which is kind of neat, but the Java edition is the most popular.

SALES ARE SUPER RARE ON MINECRAFT. There is so much value into this game now.

I played this before I had kids. I love it. I now have 3 children and I have gotten all 3 of them their own copies of the game so we can all play together. Absolutely worth it. I would recommend doing this deal.

Bought my first copy like 12 years. Had to pick up a couple more for my kids. Sales are rare and I am a much bigger fan of Java edition. Thankfully Target saves earned gift cards in account cause I forgot I had credit still. Discover 5% plus double back for new cards.

When these are on sale, typically $20 on one version unless u bought The original Java version that they gave u the bedrock version free. At $25 for both, yes it's literally like once in 10 years that they go on sale for $20 each. Great deal.

I think Java version has tons of FREE mods. Whereas Bedrock has free stuff but not as much due to the origin (u must buy the goodies now). When Java was created, the creator had a piracy is ok mentality and encouraged it in a sense and said if u couldn't afford it now, steal it and when u get older and have money pay for it later. His principles contributed to its success for which, of course, became a hypocrisy when he became a sellout and sold to Microsoft after his anti-corporate rants how they don't understand consumers. For $2.5 billion dollars, I don't blame him.

Is this is single code for both versions or one code for each? I already have two Java Edition licenses, but want to get two Bedrock for Windows. If I could gift the Java edition licenses or otherwise use them on a different account, this might be worth it. Is there any way to add Bedrock for Windows for less if I already have Java Edition?

Happened last year? I guess I missed that, maybe because I never use the official launcher. I know when Bedrock was first released Java Edition owners got it for free, but I bought my licenses well after that when it was no longer the case, but looks like they came back around to that. I'll have to confirm later.
