I posted this deal a few weeks ago. Zero response. I love it and think value is there for those with limited means and broadband. No fiber here and DSL maxed out at 80Megs. I'm paying less for 5G Home Plus 300MBps and VZW doubled the lifeline benefit, ACP discount.

WTF are you talking about? 30ms is too high? For what? I've had this for almost 2 years. Daily player of cod and destiny with no problems. Hell, the BF games run over 100ms most of the time with no problem. Lol, you wouldn't have survived gaming on DSL.

Great deal. you get more than your money back over 6 months if you sell the gift card and Xbox
It depends on whether or not you already have their phone service. It costs $80 a month if you don't have a participating phone (-$25) plan & autopay-($10). There's also a problem signing up for their service because there aren't slots available on the 5G home internet band in order to activate said service.

I tried to get this deal as an alternative to the newegg promo which had severe payment processing problems. Unfortunately they just kept telling me it wasn't available in my area. Even areas where people are already on 5G home internet aren't necessarily eligible, which is kind of insulting. They're limiting the # of people they allow on the service so your particular area may be capped on slot availability.

The service is great for streaming and the majority of internet use. The latency is basically unacceptable if you are gaming. 30ms ping is just too high for most online gaming.

I tried to see if I can get another line and cancel my current line, but when I check my address where I am currently using Verizon home, it says it's not available. Tried to chat with a representative and they said the same thing. Makes me wonder if the offer is even real lol.
This is somewhat normal for 5G Home. It's all about capacity and they have to limit how many Homes are connecting to a tower! This happens on the Business side as-well.

30 is definitely too high for competitive play

I had this showing as available in my area a month or two ago and now it says it not. I was considering getting it as back up internet.

Wish I could sign up. Verizon upgraded the towers in my area over a year ago, but have never offered their home internet service on my side of town. Using T-Mobile, but would love to switch to Verizon or AT&T as I'm tired of being on a CGNAT network. Verizon and AT&T give you an actual IPv4 address which is a big deal.

Isn't it $45 now?

Most people are over paying for internet. Unless you have a house full of horny teenagers or are running a web farm from your home, most people are fine with 100mb. Its like getting water from a fire hydrant, you can't consume as much as it puts out. For some people who a die hard gamers, they may need a little more, but its really about response time, what some call lag. Doesn't matter how fast you are, if there is lag.

I've been using 5G Home for about 2 years now and it's excellent. No issues and consistently get 500mb+ down / 150mb+ up - pretty incredible for $35/mo.

These clowns have offered all kinds of incentives to sign up (Sunday ticket, this offer, etc), and just took away some sweet multi-year pricing ($25/mo). Yet living in the third largest metro area in my state, we have zero service. They keep building on top of well-serviced/crowded broadband areas. I don't get it from even a business perspective. Thanks VZW!

This needs to be deleted. Xbox Series X is not an option.
