Not sure how good the service is in general or compared to the T-Mobile 5G Plan, but with the freebies looks like a good deal at least price wise. I would do more research if I could get Verizon Home Internet where I live.

I posted this deal a few weeks ago. Zero response. I love it and think value is there for those with limited means and broadband. No fiber here and DSL maxed out at 80Megs. I'm paying less for 5G Home Plus 300MBps and VZW doubled the lifeline benefit, ACP discount.

The service is great for streaming and the majority of internet use. The latency is basically unacceptable if you are gaming. 30ms ping is just too high for most online gaming.

I have Verizon 5G Home Plus and get 1500/300. Has been great for me since I locked it in for $35 last year. I think most people do not have access to this speed, but if you do, it's great.

300 is the max if you have a perfect connection and nobody else is on the network. I was able to reach speeds of over 220 during off peak hours. I got rid of it because the connection isn't stable enough for competitive gaming.

Network connections will vary tremendously based on a number of variables though. I have a buddy in Texas with perfect line of sight and an uncrowded node. He can hit 300 all day every day and has no stability issues.

That's helpful to hear, sounds like I'm safer sticking to fios. The bigger blocker is that Verizon wants $80/month not $45/month because I don't have service with them. ;(

I tried to see if I can get another line and cancel my current line, but when I check my address where I am currently using Verizon home, it says it's not available. Tried to chat with a representative and they said the same thing. Makes me wonder if the offer is even real lol.

just did test, might vary a bit with local traffic but I think the min PLUS service is good. Not a gamer but pretty techie for a old nerd. Setup was a snap and customer service was much better than Century Link. Also getting vzw perks like cheap Netflix. Took long enough, paying too much for broadband in the "dead zone".
