General vs Absolute: The main difference between the models is the built in crevice tool into the want and a more advanced HEPA filter due to a change in EU HEPA standards. Absolute has .01 micron filtration (cyan blue filters), where the old one has .03 filtration (purple filters). I would suggest buying the absolute version due to the better HEPA filter and the connivence of the built in crevice tool. If anyone knows of other differences, please let me know.
General vs Outsize: Outsize Dysons are a larger format of the version provided. They allow for longer runtimes, extra capacity, and usually have larger versions of the cleaner and motorbars. The suction should theoretically be similar as the power of the motor is increased as well. This variant would be well suited to cleaning a large house in one go compared to having to swap batteries and empty the canister, as well as reducing time due to the larger motorbar heads. (Important to note, you would not want to attempt to purchase the larger size vacuum motorbars for non outsize versions as it would likely reduce suction)
Airwatts (AW): Air watts are calculated using the formula, (Air Flow (in CFM) x Vacuum (in inches of water lift))/8.5 = Air Watts. Dyson uses this forumula to determine their power of the vacuum, but some argue this may be misleading. https://www.bestvacuum.com/pages/...ifications

Sebo felix is great. At this price point, you could get sebo dart, which is a bit dumbed down version of felix but they are mostly the same. You just can't beat their 10 year warranty. All their parts are replaceable. Down vote me all you want and regret when this garbage dies on you in a year or two. Thank me once you get a sebo that can last you a lifetime.
OK, the slight issue here is that you are recommending people who are interested in a 6-pound bagless cordless handheld to buy a 16-pound upright bagged vacuum. These are two separate markets?

Exactly. And it's not even cordless. Completely different products, not really comparable at all except that they are both vacuums for inside.

So you don't recommend this v15 over the v12 even though the v15 is better? Can you explain? Is there another v15 that you do recommend?
V15 has considerably more suction power and dustbin capacity. But it is heavier. Pick what is more important for you. I just got a V15 from Costco, and my wife doesn't think it is unbearably heavy, this is coming from a lightweight V7.
Cordless products are garbage and you are all brainwashed enough to buy overpriced products that aren't even serviceable. Again, it's your money. I just figured people would be more interested in buying something that lasts but I guess not.
So your point is price is too high and corded vacuums last longer?
But there are houses which are large / houses which have difficult to reach places / houses with long staircases, there are many reasons why cordless vacuums are a life-saver for places like that.
You may need one product for a small city apartment and another one for a large multi story home in the country.
This thread is for half a grand vacuum that shoots laser beams (literally).... but Dyson v11 could be had this week for as low as $223 after coupons, click through cashback sites and using specific methods of payment, as discussed in other SlickDeals threads for it.
If money's a concern, that's a lot less expensive - and a slicker deal, considering Dyson v11 "blows" away all competition in that price range.

Clearly you have never tried a high quality cordless product. I've had the V6 for years and it still works great for small jobs. The battery finally needs replacing, but instead, now I'd like something just as convenient but with a roller and wider cleaning path. If I have to deal with a cord, it has to be a much bigger job to be worthwhile. The cordless already handles more than half our cleaning needs. One of these stick vacuums can probably bump that up to 3/4 or more of our needs.
10% cash back available
$50 statement credit for 2nd half 2023 if you haven't used it yet
5,000 AmEx Offers membership rewards points for spending $500+ at Saks (worth at least $50)
Potential 10% off for signing up for an account (probably doesn't apply to sale items)
After the first 3 discounts you can get this for $350 plus tax. Also the MR points could be worth much more (or less) depending on how you use them.
I did order from Dyson, but that's because I know I'll use the crap out of the built in crevice device. That +$90 spread after AMEX and CB made it a winner. Our kids have an amazing, near-magical ability to get cheerios under every piece of furniture in the house. The broader toolset and warrant/return stuff would probably make Costco the better option for a lot of people. A situation where you have two very good options compared to normal pricing on a V15. It's hit FP at $550 with fewer accessories.
Having the crevice tool built in really does come in handy.

V15 detect version is what I would recommend. Especially the version which supports mop so in case if you need for hardwood floors, you are covered.

Saks website is strange, it doesn't come up in the Saks search but I was able to get to it through this link somehow.
