The 7" model with the spring assisted opening is way better. Manual opening is really a 2 handed job and more difficult than closing the strippers. It also has a better plier tip for pulling wire or tape. You're way better off spending the extra $1.

bought it for 9.59 in march 2021, so 10.99 is ok.
Used it for several jobs, works well , pretty solid and still like new.

I let my neighbor borrow them and when he brought it back the cutter near the hinge was burned and missing a bit of material. Looks like he cut a hot wire... LoL. So mine work well, just not like new anymore.

Don't pass your stripper around. They get tired and worn down if you let others touch them. They are for your hands only. You can let others look at but never touch your stripper.

You really don't need the fancy auto trim wire cutter. I have this tool and it works really well if you know what you're doing. If you don't, then it's best you call a professional.
