it's not widely advertised, but these are an upgrade from the lightning or aux plug versions.

i have these and love them. i think bluetooth headphones are incredibly overrated. just my opinion. these are well worth $17.

But using that definition of "emit radiation", incandescent lightbulbs also emit radiation and far more of it!

Wired earbuds also has radiation.
Sound waves are acoustic radiation, which is arguably more dangerous

I'm using them with a Pixel 8 pro. No issues so far. Button controls work fine. The headphones are a bit louder when connected to Apple usb-c devices like my iPad pro.

I know Apple primarily caters to casual customers, but for a few bucks more than MSRP you can pick up Chi-Fi earbuds like Salnotes Zero that will have better reliability (replaceable cable) and provide far better sound quality. However, I've heard the mic quality is pretty solid on these.

The mics on these are very solid for voice calls. AirPods Pro are great for noise canceling and convenience but voice call quality isn't great.

FYI: The strain relief on EarPods are thin and fragile. I went through a bunch of the 3.5mm and Lightning versions of these. The thin wire slowly lose connectivity from being bent and stretched all the time in your pocket. I used to find it strange that my friend preferred old-school wired Apple headphones. However, after taking advantage of a sale and giving them a try, I was pleasantly surprised. They fit comfortably in the ears, offer quality sound, and can be worn for hours without any discomfort.
