About this product:
  • Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
  • The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
  • EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
  • A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you're on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you're always heard loud and clear.

The mics on these are very solid for voice calls. AirPods Pro are great for noise canceling and convenience but voice call quality isn't great.

FYI: The strain relief on EarPods are thin and fragile. I went through a bunch of the 3.5mm and Lightning versions of these. The thin wire slowly lose connectivity from being bent and stretched all the time in your pocket. I made them last longer with a cable protector like these: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/nite...Id=6225267

it's not widely advertised, but these are an upgrade from the lightning or aux plug versions.

i have these and love them. i think bluetooth headphones are incredibly overrated. just my opinion. these are well worth $17.

Actually they do "emit radiation"
But using that definition of "emit radiation", incandescent lightbulbs also emit radiation and far more of it!

Wired earbuds also has radiation.
Sound waves are acoustic radiation, which is arguably more dangerous

I've had 2 phones with usb-c ports go bad on me (Google & LG). Apple has better quality, but no way would I ever trust using wired usb-c headphones with my phone in my pocket like old school aux connections (or lightning for that matter).

These are an upgrade from the lightning and 3.5mm version. Has better sound quality and mic quality. I believe the built in DAC is better. I usually use AirPods Pro which sound better because of the better low end, has ANC, wireless. These sound as good as the AirPods 3. I like using this when listening to podcast to fall asleep as it's more comfortable when laying on your side and you don't have to worry about losing an airpod. Aside from apple usb c devices (iPad pro, iPhone 15 pro max and MacBook Pro) I have tested it with an android phone and windows 11 thinkpad. I was surprise the controls work great in windows with volume control. YouTube reviewers are raving at what you get for less than $20. Previously I was using the 3.5mm version with the apple usb c to 3.5mm adapter which works, but these sound better and the mic is better. Plus don't have to use the adapter which I found a little clunky.

When you compare the mic quality, the Bluetooth AirPods are ALWAYS inferior to corded counterparts. Grabbed one for meetings!

We also get that sweet spatial audio in this type c earpods that an airpod max can't do and mic quality is so good maybe check out the unbox therapy video on that! I brought 2 and just got it delivered today using on my s21fe with Dolby it's awesome waiting to use in my new iPhone 🔜
Agree these are a good deal, but AirPods Max does support Spatial Audio, it doesn't support full high resolution lossless even with the apple lightning to 3.5mm cable only can go to 24-bit/48 kHz lossless audio. The built in DAC on these EarPods can do the same 24-bit/48 kHz lossless audio according to 9 to 5 Mac.

Warm deal. For $2.01 saving, I'd buy it when I need it which isn't that often.

Please take the tinfoil hat off. Wireless headphones do not emit radiation!!
if they send out a signal, like from a microphone, they are emitting radiation

I'm honestly surprised (in a good way) that these still exist, the Amazon listing says these are a new product just introduced in September of this year.

I can think of at least one way these would be preferable to wireless: Public Transportation. On the bus or walking to your stop, crazies or other unsavory characters tend to leave you alone if they see your obvious wired buds. Airpods or other wireless ones can get hidden under hoods or beanies in cold/rainy weather. Bonus tip, you don't even have to be listening to anything, just the sight of the cord are enough to dissuade most people from talking to you on the bus.
This is great use case for these, ha. Sounds like Chicago. Great value for the high quality audio, spatial support, and ability to play hi-res lossless, which despite being more widely available now on Apple Music, cannot be played wirelessly (correct me if I'm wrong). But, there are other better suited devices you could use to deter the crazies, which also serve as personal protection on the mean streets Smilie
