About this product:
  • Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
  • The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
  • EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
  • A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you're on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you're always heard loud and clear.

The mics on these are very solid for voice calls. AirPods Pro are great for noise canceling and convenience but voice call quality isn't great.

FYI: The strain relief on EarPods are thin and fragile. I went through a bunch of the 3.5mm and Lightning versions of these. The thin wire slowly lose connectivity from being bent and stretched all the time in your pocket. I made them last longer with a cable protector like these: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/nite...Id=6225267

it's not widely advertised, but these are an upgrade from the lightning or aux plug versions.

i have these and love them. i think bluetooth headphones are incredibly overrated. just my opinion. these are well worth $17.

Actually they do "emit radiation"
But using that definition of "emit radiation", incandescent lightbulbs also emit radiation and far more of it!

Wired earbuds also has radiation.
Sound waves are acoustic radiation, which is arguably more dangerous

I believe these should work on the M-series MacBooks but the question is the sound quality better than going through the headphone jack?

But we don't put lightbulbs in our ears though

Works great. not sure if quality is better but I assumed yes.

Works on my M Macbooks and Windows laptop with usb-C. Any usb-c devices should just work. It works on my iphone and ipad with usb-c also.

I am thinking about getting another so I can just keep one in the bag always. The downside obviously is no noise cancellation as I do with airpods but I've been using transparency mode and now the adaptive mode so I never really use full noise cancelling anyway

I still use my 3.5mm EarPods on my PC after all these years. If you already have the 3.5mm ones, just get the "Apple USB-C to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter" for 9 bucks. I connect mine through the type-c port on my computer and the Mic sounds surprisingly good.

I bought two and I am using one pair watching movies on my iPad Air. The sound is pretty good, the movies sound very natural and without the overwhelming background sound. Voices and effects are tracking the action on the screen. I have used some very good ChiFi earbuds prior this, and some really high end quad-drive earphones. These Apple buds are much more practical for videos and movies specifically. They are not up to the level of hi-fi earphones, but the audio positioning for movies is actually superior.

Me too, but these USB-C ones can do spatial audio and it actually makes difference.

If you're an audiophile it will definitely make a difference. My LG V20 with HiFi Quad DAC was amazing, but if you want to save yourself some money then the adaptor will suffice; I picked up 3 EarPods for $15 on a sale from BestBuy 3 years ago. Very good product.

I have adaptors and multiple headphones (more than three dozens, many of them are from hi fi dev audio studio). My point is that these USB-C buds have Apple Spatial Audio and it works in Netflix very very well. Movies sound better than hi fi buds. Other spatial audio option would be the latest EarBuds 3 or the last two generations of AirBuds Pro.
