About this product:
  • Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
  • The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
  • EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
  • A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you're on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you're always heard loud and clear.

it's not widely advertised, but these are an upgrade from the lightning or aux plug versions.

i have these and love them. i think bluetooth headphones are incredibly overrated. just my opinion. these are well worth $17.
Actually they do "emit radiation"
But using that definition of "emit radiation", incandescent lightbulbs also emit radiation and far more of it!

Wired earbuds also has radiation.
Sound waves are acoustic radiation, which is arguably more dangerous
I'm using them with a Pixel 8 pro. No issues so far. Button controls work fine. The headphones are a bit louder when connected to Apple usb-c devices like my iPad pro.

Hah i got the aux a few months ago at this price as I already have the usbc and lightening dongle. It's more versatile too as I can use it with my handheld devices.

But remember, the wireless one has radiation and it sits inside the ear. The wired one is the safer alternative especially if you're wearing it hours a day.
Please take the tinfoil hat off. Wireless headphones do not emit radiation!!

One dumb question, does it work on my pixel 7 Android phone?
It has usb-c port, any other suggestion for better usb-c wired earphones please.

I'm honestly surprised (in a good way) that these still exist, the Amazon listing says these are a new product just introduced in September of this year.

I can think of at least one way these would be preferable to wireless: Public Transportation. On the bus or walking to your stop, crazies or other unsavory characters tend to leave you alone if they see your obvious wired buds. Airpods or other wireless ones can get hidden under hoods or beanies in cold/rainy weather. Bonus tip, you don't even have to be listening to anything, just the sight of the cord are enough to dissuade most people from talking to you on the bus.

Will this safely work on an Android phone? I know they mentioned to only use Apple chargers for Apple devices. I assume these would be fine

I have plenty of wireless options which I use, but I got these as soon as they became available and I use them with my M1 MacBook Air all the time (especially when I'm in bed at the end of the day and know I won't be getting up), and they sound great and are comfortable. I also use them with Steam Deck occasionally. It's supposed to work with anything that does audio over USB-C. I've been meaning to test out Nintendo Switch which isn't officially USB-C so may or may not work.

Ordered an extra pair w/ no rush shipping to get the $1 Amazon digital credit. I'll probably keep this one in my bag.

I also like and occasionally use Lightning EarPods, so no surprise I like these. Not sure there is anything very different between USB-C vs Lightning versions?
