Does someone who has done research on toothpaste know why Crest has so many different products with different claims all using the same active ingredient and nearly the same ingredients list? Are they all really just the same product with different branding, price points, and health claims or is there something in toothpaste science that really makes one better for gums, others better for enamel, etc despite having the same active ingredient?

They will let you do it forever. I've been doing this with 5 items monthly for the 15% and canceling them afterward for almost 10 years

Nope, coupon applies to one-time purchase also. At least in my case

if you don't mind what does this subscribe mean? Do we have to buy the item every certain period?

Yes, subscribe and save means you select a period and agree to receive the item each period with a discount (usually 5% or so)

Now, you COULD enroll in subscribe and save, get the savings and then cancel. I don't know how many times Amazon will let you do that.

I'm sorry, maybe I don't understand this whole thing right, but I've made hundreds of Subscribe & Save orders and cancelled 99% of them after the first shipment, in order to enjoy the specific initial one-time S&S coupons and avoid future items because many or most times I either don't need anymore of it or the ongoing 15% S&S savings isn't enough. I'm under the impression thousands of others here do the same by the comments I've read. You're saying Amazon is going to limit the ability to apply this strategy?

That's the $64,000 question! So many times I've browsed thru all the brands and types of toothpaste...entire product lines of toothpaste for quite a wide variety of oral health problems and issues and I wonder what's the specific thing that's working to achieve these claims.

I have been doing this for years also. However lately, when doing s&s with a coupon, Amazon has been sending the item (with the discount) like a normal order-not on my s&s shipment. So I am wondering if I then cancel after getting this item but before my s&s day will they take off the coupon discount and charge that amount back on my account? Reading their terms page is very confusing.

Honestly all this time I've thought about the same thing why only one ingredient but 15 different varieties of products
