Thank you for contacting Zinus. This is Jim. No worries, I will provide the details for this one.
All of our mattresses are now free from Fiberglass as from the start of 2023, we are using rayon-based fire barrier. This applies to all mattresses, memory foams and hybrid mattresses.

Additionally stated they are made in a US factory now and the Rayon would be listed on the mattress tag for confirmation.

Got the green tea full the other day 2 of them for $120 each, that was posted 2 different times. They are nice. Just hold out if you can.

I wouldn't advise cheaping out on a mattress if you plan on using it every day. Maybe pair this mattress with a decent topper or better yet only use it as a guest bed. Many mattress companies use the same factories so in order to hit this price point you are getting bottom of the barrel everything. Zinus would have no choice but to remove most of the density from their foams. You can remove density and maintain the same firmness as a denser foam initially but it will not last you very long. I'd trust an imported mattress a bit more as they can be much more competitive with price due to subsidization. Antidumping laws should be coming into effect soon so you likely won't be able to get value from imports much longer.

This is correct. There are fiberglass free fire socks that use silica and FR rayon that are at decent price points. The industry is shifting away from fiberglass since no one wants it in their mattresses. Further, California is trying to ban fiberglass in mattresses though should the ban pass it likely wouldn't happen until 2027.

So it sounds like it does contain fiberglass? I was told that they list Fiberglass on the label though (by either Walmart or Amazon CS), so I'm confused. Anyone has this figured out?

On the label it will state what percentage of material was used in the mattress and at the very bottom of the tag it will state what the fabric cover is made of.
I had a 2022 that had fiberglass and one that didn't. But this model was 2023 August without fiberglass.

That's not the case. I checked a few foam mattresses in my house and they don't tell you what material was used as a fire retardant. This applies to the Zinus mattress advertised here.

Not only was the label not clear on fiberglass, the whole mattress was a dud and didn't decompress (not anywhere close to it) even though I took it out of the box 5 minutes after it was delivered and let it sit in a ventilated warm room for days.

What a waste. People must be paid on here to up-sell these shitty mattresses. Otherwise, why spread false info to people?
