Seems to be a good deal.... I got a gerber neat freak (scissors) for $11.80 that's less than half, amazon wants $26.87 for them others want more. I got 2, seems to have good reviews. Also got a gerber ulu $24.72 , amazon wants $47.72 Around half off is a slick deal for me. Thanks for the post.
I'm not one to totally crap on lower end steel but read some stuff that gives me reservations about Gerber. Mystery steel being one but apparently the heat treat is also crappy, one Amazon reviewer/commenter (can't find now) gave some pretty damning specs, and specifically compared to low end steel Kershaws. Was thinking a multi-tool might be ok but not sure now, unless the knife blade is disregarded completely.

The website indicates 7cr which is pretty soft stuff.
Thanks, the guy that posted the Amazon comment/review was even taking that into consideration, I think he compared it to a 3cr13 Kershaw which performed better - although I believe I was looking at the Slim Cut.

Anyone have experience with Field Supply shipping? I ordered a 3 pack of knives on 11/21 and haven't heard anything from them.
I've ordered from them a couple times, it can take a while and I think I emailed to nag one time and finally it moved. Ordered 12/11 nagged them 12/15. Unfortunately I can't refer back to UPS tracking since the history doesn't go past 120 days. Chat support wasn't available but I left a message and it shipped that day, not sure if it's coinicidence or if they acted on that.

Thanks for the info! I don't mind if things are a bit slow but I wish they would at least notify me of status. I'll send them an email as you noted.

Ever since Fiskers bought them, they're not what they used to. I actually love their old school "Excalibur" series with D2 steel, but they take some skill/effort to properly sharpen. Also the original Fairbairn Sykes knives as well.

I have purchased from them a few times.... The sanrenmu knives and some cigars yes they sell cigars too. I believe they are the same folks that own or did own cigarpage (cigar page was purchased in part by Olivia if i remember correctly)
My expereinces are gennerally good but they can be hit or miss. Shipping can be slow and customer service is like a C+. I will buy from them but definitely track orders and shipping.
