These used to be on sale for $169 few years back. Now it's a special buy for $279. Damn inflation.

Costco has the equivalent to the 18' gorilla ladders on sale for around $80. Just saw them in store today.

I bought Werner version of this for $99 years ago, and it's great to have around to get high up, but I only use it if I absolutely have to because it is so heavy (46 pounds). I actually bought an 8 foot fiberglass ladder because it was so difficult just to get this ladder up the stairs in order to get into my attic space. I had to replace some vent covers that broke off up right below my roof (two stories). As others have stated, just extend it to its full length while flat on the ground facing where you need to go up. Then pick up the ladder with your back against the house and slowly walk it up one rung at a time until it reaches the roof. Then when getting it down just do the same thing in reverse, letting most of the weight rest on the house as you walk it down. Once I got the hang of it it was no problem, but again because of the weight I only use it if I absolutely have to have that reach

So upon reading the comments beside hate comments, is this a decent deal then? People are saying it was lower last year. I bought the 22' ladder that was on sale last week. Like people said these ladder are HEAVY but versatile but kinda heavy so I can imagine this 26' is going to be more heavier lol...

Just to reiterate here, if you need the extra length then great but if you're just thinking 'maybe one day I might use it' then I would save your money and go shorter. I would absolutely not haul this thing around my house. As it is, I use a 3-step ladder to do light work on my 10' ceilings even though I have to reach because I hate carrying my 18' version of this upstairs. Don't get me wrong, it's doable for anyone who is reasonably strong but it's just a chore.

$159 for 22 ft is great price but keep in mind that the 22 ft version you bought is MPXA rated (300 lbs) and with no wheels. This 26 ft one has wheels and MPXW rated (375 lbs).

Odd for someone to get so defensive over a ladder lol.

The weight of them is exactly the issue. At full extension (26 ft), you stand zero chance of getting this down on the ground without essentially just tipping it over and letting it land in an open area. There is no "angling it correctly," you genius, when 80% of the weight is above your head.

These are great for uneven surfaces. They're complete trash as extension ladders. I hope I didn't ruin your night any further. LMAO
I extend mine all the way out every year for Christmas lights. Yeah it's heavy but I don't ever drop it. You just have to step it down with your hands till it's at an angle you can lay it down.

100% I can't believe this is the new 'deal' for these ladders. I remember these regularly would go under $200 not even a couple years ago.

(Edited Sorry just realized that I have the 18 not the 22. With the this may be too tall to work.) They are a challenge when fully extending but aside from sliding it down a few feet I never move mine when fully extended. I first adjust the side closest to me all the way down. That way much more of the weight is at the bottom. When I do that it's very manageable. I personally think these ladders are great for people who don't have a truck or large vehicle to transport a full size extension ladder. Sure an extension ladder is easiest when that's the only need but they don't work for everyone.

Most likely those past prices were for lighter rated version upto 300 lbs and some features like wheel not included. So can't say for sure if it was exactly this same ladder for $200

Do you know if this ladder can fit inside a RAV4? Thanks.

How to raise the fully extended ladder correctly without all that fuss or walking rungs.
