These used to be on sale for $169 few years back. Now it's a special buy for $279. Damn inflation.

Yeah, i just grabbed the 22' deal for 159 and thought that was good, but checking back in history they were regularly on sale for 99.

These sound great until you actually want to use them at their full extension and realize you can't do it without killing yourself or someone else. They're utterly useless at their advertised extension.

Far better off going with a traditional pulley-style extension ladder.

Just angled them correctly, not that hard to comprehend, you genius. The common issue with these ladders is that they are heavy af. That's it.

I agree. They're really bad as extension ladders but good as step ladders

Costco has the equivalent to the 18' gorilla ladders on sale for around $80. Just saw them in store today.

They're reach not length, so if you want to get up on a 25' roof it's not happening without jumping. I agree that reach is a meaningless marketing term; I'd much rather a length advertisement.

Pretty sure that's what he was referring to. How unwieldy (since they are heavy af) they can be at full length. You genius.

Odd for someone to get so defensive over a ladder lol.

The weight of them is exactly the issue. At full extension (26 ft), you stand zero chance of getting this down on the ground without essentially just tipping it over and letting it land in an open area. There is no "angling it correctly," you genius, when 80% of the weight is above your head.

These are great for uneven surfaces. They're complete trash as extension ladders. I hope I didn't ruin your night any further. LMAO

So much hate over a ladders?
I have the 22 and the bench. Great products.
Compared to a fiberglass ladder the gorilla is lighter but the aluminum makes it a electric hazard

Bought the werner version of this years ago for $99 and thought I hated it until I bought a fiberglass extension ladder... that thing for the same reach is HEAVY AF. I went back to using this for two stories. Just have to walk it up in place aka start with it on the ground and walk towards the house and the opposite for removal. Very versatile and you can do scaffolding with a plank.

Yes they are heavy and unwieldy at full length. Are you ok though?

I've had one of these for about three years(picked it up on sale at Menard's for $199) Though I mainly only use it for painting in stairwells because that's what these ladders do best, comparatively, I have used it on exterior a couple of times. Though it is definitely a cumbersome tank and requires some strain, I am able to maneuver it around at full extension. You're probably not a jacked 230# beefcake like me, though. Perhaps you should try a ladder made out of balsa wood; it will be perfect for a delicate flower such as yourself.

Good price, but I think if I am going to store one of these at my house, I'll get the Little Giant with the adjustable legs for uneven surfaces.

And I'd primarily use it as a big step ladder, but that could be outside.
