The non-brushless goes on sale for that price semi-regularly, but not the brushless set.

I'm a fan of these brushless Hart tools. They may not be the best, but I've been using them for years and built a deck, treehouse, and various smaller projects with them. No issues.
Did you know the company that makes Hart is also the same company that makes Ryobi and Milwaukee?
I recommend Hart brand. Buy it.

Seems like a pretty good deal. Got the saw + a 4Ah battery for $90 between a $10 off insider coupon and the Black Friday deal, if I didn't already have the drill and driver, I'd probably return it and get this

This is a great deal. I got the normal set and the tools are good. Later upgraded to brushless and there is a big difference. I purchased them separately and paid a lot more

Just an ok deal. You can find this from time to time on sale for $100. It was on sale this month with the sawzall instead of circular for $100. I got it randomly last year for $100. Great for an avg homeowner that doesn't do much besides put things together and other random odd jobs around the house.

The Ryobi version has higher value tools for the same price.

Good catch. I didn't notice that part. Thanks for pointing that out.

Both are TTI brands. Many of the tools are very similar except for the battery.

Higher value, in that they exited the same Chinese factory out of a different finishing line and loading door?

"Higher value" could mean a lot of things. The included tools themselves are different so I took it to mean: "Ryobi Recip Saw and Cutoff tool is better than Hart Circular Saw and the stupid throw-in flashlight."

Usually the whole point of having different badges on similar products is exactly an indicator that you should expect different quality though. Even if your Del Monte green beans and your Great Value green beans come out of the same factory door, the name brand often gets the higher quality foods. I'd still say the store-brand is "higher value."

You do understand that leaving the same factory doesn't mean the same quality of materials and fit and finish?

I was about to order the Ryobi combo ( https://slickdeals.net/f/17124817-ryobi-one-hp-18v-brushless-4-tool-kit-w-2x-2-0-ah-batteries-charger-bag-149-free-shipping?src=SiteSearch ) over the brushed Hart combo for $98, but now this combo is also brushless, at the same price, and with 4Ah battery. What do you think gang?

Do you need a circular saw? A cut-off tool won't get as deep as a circular saw

Have been using various Hart power tools around the house for ~2 years now and no issues with any of them. There is a big difference between Hart brushed and brushless power tools. The brushless tools also tend to be smaller and lighter.
