Yeah I was wondering if people recommend a specific other cap. Not really a fan of the straws either. Was looking for some kind of nozzle that I can just flip up and sip from or a mouthpiece slider like other water bottles… I got a hydro flask a while back and it had this top and I was pretty surprised and disappointed because it isn't very convenient to constantly twist off.

It's overrated even if i heat or cool it first, but the price is ok. Closest i saw at local whole foods was last winter $22 for 32oz. I paid $30+tx from the site when it was "on sale". Now i want an insulated 12oz cup or a wide cup-size bottle up to 16oz, but good brands are still overpriced.

They have a number of options if you have wide mouth bottle. The wide mouth flex straw may be what you're looking for. I think 32oz is a bit big and heavy to be chugging out of, so a straw would be best with this. There is also a wide mouth sip cap.

I have it in bright yellow, it's in my office and I use it everyday. I do prefer this type of cap, less parts to clean/accumulate residue. Great price for the size!

I have a Simple Modern 22-oz bottle with a lid kind of like this. (The difference is mine hangs from a loop while it's off.) I absolutely love it, and prefer drinking directly from the metal rather than through plastic. That "chug" style may not work as well for a 32-oz bottle though. Unfortunately I can't find that same style again.

If you don't like this lid (or color), I see Simple Modern has a 32oz bottle with two lids included (one with straw) for $25 in many color choices:

i'd say it's a trade off when you have to clean the bottle and accessories afterwards.
with the wide mouth lid with handle, you can easily just use the sponge and wash the cap. that's it.

with all the other caps & straw lids etc, you'll have to remove the the O-rings, straws, clean those, and clean the cap.
