the added warranty only pertains to the Aventage line of products (A- series). since the architecture / components are not the same as the lower product series (V-series) the added warranty does not apply to those models. The benefits to the Aventage line would be better components and a better warranty (3 + 2= 5 years for Aventage models versus 2 on the A series).
