I went with this one because I plan on using it for a lot of productivity. There will be a ton of static images for long periods of time so I'd be worried about long term burn in. Plus apparently text clarity is better on this.

Picture clarity in content consumption/gaming will be better with the OLED though.

Something of note is the screen curvature
OLED 1800 (flatter)
Non-OLED 1000 (more curve)

I'm having the same thoughts about quality. Make sure you buy with a credit card that has extended warranty, just in case (for example chase freedom unlimited).

Ive been waiting for this one over the oled one. You get close to the same contrast, but you don't have oled burn in and this is much, much brighter (2000 peak nit is a lot).

This is better for bright room gaming, productivity work
Oled is better for dark room gaming

How does this compare to the Dell AW3821DW mainly for office/productivity? (Regardless of the price diff)

I actually bought this about 3 years ago from them with no issues. I'm selling it now but it's worth it.

For what it's worth, I have the Dell 38" and it's AMAZING.

I came from a 27" 1440p monitor prior to the dell. I have had a samsung 49 inch and it broke within the first month (stuck vertical and horizontal lines) and at that point I realized their warranty is only 12 months. Sorry, but I'm not gambling over $1,000 on a product that can potentially be worthless in one year. I returned the Samsung.

The dell has 3 years of support as standard. Not entirely sure if dell 'support,' is the same as a warranty, though.
