I bough a Daytona jack, they had the jack pads for it.
I meant Jack stands. These have a very particular V that will easily damage the underside of some cars if you were to try and use the pinch weld jack points.

How's the quality on these ?
I noticed on the other jack stands posted recently that jack stands are not something to cheap out on.
With some having issues with spotty wields or major design flaws.

I have the US Jacks and they are the best jack stands I have ever used. You do need to jack your car up a good amount compared to others though so keep that in mind. The Husky's were rated pretty well. This is one thing to never go cheap on.
go cheap on jack stands to save money to buy apple/samsung stuff.

that's because they are too high even at the lowest setting. I would have to jack up the car higher than required just to fit them.
I recommend buying a set of ramps, drive the front wheels partially onto the ramps then jack the car up off the ramp. This has worked for my sport tuned suspension on my Audi for over a decade.

If the car is low, some ramps might hit your front bumper. You'll want to look for ramps with a shallow angle.

Project Farm did a comparison video and the Home Depot Husky jacks are one of the best value jacks while handling nearly 17,000 lbs of downward force before beginning to buckle.

These "MAASDAM" are identical to the HD Husky jacks tested in every way, making them a steal at $19. This is a situation where you can save money -without- any risk to safety Smilie.

I bought a set of low profile ramps from HD, because my Subaru was to low to use my jack.

I gather from some comments here these aren't great....maybe decent?

Good enough to be a fail safe for a floor jack?

Isn't that what every jack stand is for (or vice versa)?
Unless I'm the only weirdo, I've got the jack, stands, and a tire under there just in case. Much like with digital data, you can never have too many backups.

Maybe this is what you mean - IMO - you need to lower the car onto the jack stands completely first. That connection needs solid. I would not want to trust a jack to hold the car and the stands being a back up for the jack. I especially would not want a jack to fail and the car then come down on stands that were not set up to be holding the car as that crash is how these stands fail. (meaning I'd never want to drop a car on the jack stands).

If you want to then leave the jack in the picture for added security, then bring it back to the touch point lightly - assuming you are not jacking all four wheels (in which case your method requires 2 jacks) then you need to bring the front jack back online after the entire car is on the stands. Otherwise as you jack the rear (assuming front is up) the front jack will end up engaging and you risk a fail/wobble In most cases the jack gets in my way but I do try to keep it in the picture if I can. Tire is always a good idea, something my dad taught me to do. Never hurts to be safe. Oil changes for me always include tire rotation so I always start by getting entire car up on 4 jack stands.

Bought these when they were last on sale, I have 4 currently holding up an old mini - not a hard test. I found from the 6, 2 have a very subtle wobble on flat ground but otherwise are well made.

This is for two jacks. I saw some jacks at walmart that were $19.99 sold individually .. I was like WTF? Who buys these individually?
