For example, if you only use the USB C port, and that's the only thing plugged in (no USB ports are used), then the device would be able to delivery maximum power to whatever your device is asking for e.g. your ipad. If you have your ipad connected (presumably to the usb c port) and you plug an additional cable into the USB ports, you are actually limiting the power that leaves your USB C port when the device and the connected devices re-negotiate for power
In summary there is a total maximum power a port can potentially deliver, if and only if that is the only port being used by, in this case, a charger that has other ports (usb c, usb). If you read the back of this device it has more details about maximum power, volts/amps, but the average person doesn't really read this kind of stuff so its not necessary

Neither the product pics on Amazon nor the many reviews with pics show this very well afaict.
I literally can't see any such thing - from the mobile app anyhow. Anyhow, thanks for the information even if it was unnecessarily condescending.
Which extension?

Timothy Jarvis' review: "Case is nice, internals are garbage". That sums it up. Multi-port from a single internal power source ceased being reliable once devices became interactive with smart voltage ports.
Cleaver tidy design solution for nightstand or desk: Conceal an ac power strip inside or underneath. Gather the cables. Make a cable entry in a small vase. Pull a cable out the top when needed. Everything is out of sight tangle-free when not in use. Individual chargers and cables are easily replaced as needed. Fast charge cables may be color-coded or marked. The power strip may be controlled by a smart plug. Recycles old reliable bulky chargers to keep them out of the waste stream. Less effort because the user no longer needs to connect both ends of the cable every time.
Get a usb charging hub and just plug that in, hide the other cables

Amazon Basics Indoor Extension Cord Power Strip - 6-Foot, 3-Prong ,Flat Plug, Grounded - 13 Amps
You can also get something similar, with AC ports on each side, for like $9-$14
IMHO its just a far superior setup then trying to combine everything into one unit like this. It packs down smaller, its cheaper, its more versatile, and I have 2 usb c chargers I bring that can each do 100 watts with 2 usb c ports and one usb a, so I have 6 total ports, vs like 3 here with only 1 30 watt usb c port.
Belkin Boost silver QC4+ 27 watt adapter is the most advanced charger under 30 watts for non-PD USB devices but it also charges Type C PD. They can be found on ebay for under $10. Extremely durable and fast. Originally $50.
.
It has a Type C port which supports PD devices as well as legacy USB. I use their C to micro B cable to rapidly charge power banks and anything which has a micro B port
I use a C to C cable to charge phones and anything with a C port. It charges my Galaxy 10+ faster than anything else without damaging heat, QC 4+ technology constantly adjusts the voltage in tiny steps and controls amps to yield the fastest safe charge which keeps the battery healthy with the least wear.

We use a slumberpod tent over the pack & play. This helps power the baby monitor, a usb fan, and a sound machine.
Some hotels we've stayed, it's hard to find a convenient outlet for all of these. But this has been extremely helpful in minimizing cords & clutter everywhere.
