$539.99 on Feb 10, 2024 for the same 20. Is the USD losing this much purchasing power due to inflation so quickly or is this not a slick deal? Costco usually is priced for value. Maybe they figure people will continue to buy regardless, but the ramifications are terrifying. 33% rate of inflation on these in just four months!!!

Silver's price is very heavily influenced by technical trading. $26 was stiff resistance for years, and when it finally broke, silver went straight to $32. It'll probably be $50 in a few months before having a major correction (like back down to $35 or $30.)

Silver is on a bull run right now. Eagles are going for $40/ea, so not the wide margin you'd have if you bought months ago, but still money to be made.

Precious metals tend to track with inflation but occasionally break out. That's what we've seen over the past few months.

It's overpriced and due for its correction back down to reality, buying now just locks in your losses. same with gold. if it were inflation driven you'd see other currencies making gains, but USD continues stronger than most others, especially notable with the USD vs JPY. A lot of people are still buying, but look at what happened after each breakout/ATH peak. I guess enjoy holding your $720 20oz when it's worth $400 again.

You're confusing a precious metals bull market with a bear market. Look at silver junior miners, they are up 50-100% in a month, that's bull market behavior and a sign of what's to come. $50 in a few months, and premiums will be $10 by then.

Maples are also there and are a better deal, both 1oz coins, just different mint.

Buy at $719. Immediately put on FB Marketplace for $800. If spot price holds, an easy $80.

You can sell them to online dealers.

For example these eagles will get you $620 for the tube at jm bullion, and the maples will get you 732.50.

Costco is selling the eagles for $699 and the maples for $799 right now.

SD bullion will give you $636 for the eagles and $757 for the maples.

so with rebates, you're not too far off the sell-back price, and they ship for free.

I just paid $640 tax and title and shipping for 20 1 oz. rounds from Monument Metals. Yes, they weren't Eagles, but the silver content is the same.

This is typical, silver rounds have a smaller premium than mint coins especially Eagles (due to low production from the US mint).

If you look at a historical 20 year chart, gold is out performing the dow Jones and sp500. The 20 years represent all the easy money from the dotcom, housing, and this bubble.
