You could probably eat these in 2033 and ask for seconds. Shelf-stable food goes stale, not bad, and the dates are usually at least a year earlier than they could be.

Major exception? Anything with natural fats (think oils, coffee, peanut butter). Never buy expiring coffee or olive oil - it's rancidity that's the problem.
Not to mention, imo the Aldi's brand shells and cheese is better than Velveeta. That's about $1.35 a box.

Not a bad price for no work, but not terribly difficult to save more if you wait for sales and cash back. For example, this week Kroger has it on sale for $3 each, down to $2 if you buy 5 or more participating items (there are 100's of items to chose from) and down to $1.25 each with a cash back app.

Agreed, they are good. But I prefer the elbow noodles in the Kraft Deluxe so I'll be buying some of those with the Kroger deal.

At Ralphs (owned by Kroger) in Los Angeles, these are $2.99 after the $1 off for buying 5. So, the Amazon price is a good deal if you live in Los Angeles.

Last time I got this on a similar deal, the expiration date was too close! I had ordered quantity 4 for the extra 5% off so ended up with 12 boxes. Luckily, I have 5 kids so was able to plan it out to finish them in time. Great deal, but I'll be ordering just 1 this time.😅

I would have no issue using this a very long time after it expired. But to each their own.

LOL. There is zero chance you're getting food poisoning eating expired boxed mac and cheese.

I had a box of these that were 1 yr after expiration date. When I opened the cheese packet it had separated and looked odd, tasted horrible so I threw it out. On the other hand, the dry pasta seemed ok so I made it and used spaghetti sauce instead.

Edit: I did not know it was expired till after I saw the condition of the cheese packet, I then checked the expiration date...

Every time you put this processed sh@t into your body or kids body you are shorting your life. Buy real cheese.
