It's not so bad, Charlie Brown.

Checked the 6 - 7 nearest to me, none in stock. I'm guessing these will be like those $12 Walmart trees in 2018/2019 and half of the greenery will be lying at the bottom of the box next year. But if you're in a pinch this year...

These are incandescents light bulbs, Much higher energy cost vs LED. Save a couple bucks up front but the cost to use these eats it up fast.

Most of these trees look nothing like the pictures that are on the box.

You are correct. I was tempted by cheap incandescent lights at the end of the season last year before I ran the math...

According to my rough calculations (using incandescent=40w, led=5w) powering a 100ft string of lights 24 hours a day just through the 31 days of December, your energy cost (18ยข/kWh) for LED would be $0.67 vs $5.36 for incandescent. Then multiply that by months, years, etc.

Don't fall for the "slick deal" of an incandescent bulb!

I was equally as tempted when I saw a 100 count string light at Home Depot today for $2.54 but then I saw they were incandescents !!!!

$10 tree, if you only have that to spend is great. Otherwise, it is going to look like a $10 tree, the branches are pretty far apart.

Incandescent lights are nicer to look at, but as mentioned in here, they draw up to 10x the power of their LED counterparts. $3 for 100 is pretty much a standard price.

I don't go often, usually just when I need gift bags, wrapping paper or bows. That video is shocking and depressing, so no more bargain gift wrap for me.
